Windows is a challenge that most users face, especially if they are not quite technical savvy.

If you are in the market for a new laptop and are considering buying one from the Chinese market, then you are probably already worried about the Windows 10 installation process. Well, you do not have to worry anymore. We've compiled a simple step-by-step tutorial for you, to guide you through the installation process and to get the English version of Windows 10 on your Chinese laptop.

To begin you first have to activate the Chinese version of Windows 10 which will connect the ships to the laptop with a laptop and connect your Microsoft ID to the laptop. Once you have done the initial Windows 10 setup, you have to follow the following steps carefully to install the English version of Windows 10 on your laptop:

Requirements:

Install laptop with chinese version of windows 10
Install a separate laptop with the English version of Windows 10
An additional USB flash drive (minimum 8 GB)
A Microsoft ID (Outlook, Live, Hotmail, etc.)

Create a Windows 10 Installation Media:

To begin with the process, you must first create a Windows 10 installation media using a laptop that is already running the English version of Windows 10. Creating a Windows 10 installation media is a fairly simple process, but before you start the process, you have to first go to Microsoft's website and download the Windows 10 installation media tool.

Once downloading the tool, you have to connect your extra USB drive to the system and run the tool. Now that you have done this, follow the steps given below and you will be able to create Windows 10 installation media at any time:

As soon as you run the installation media device, you will be asked to go through the applicable notice and license terms. You must accept the terms and conditions before starting with the process.

On the next screen, you will have to create 'installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file)' for any other PC option to create a Windows 10 installation media.

Once you select the option and click on the next, you have to select the language, version and architecture of the Windows 10 installation media. If you have a brand new laptop, you can go with the default option, but if you have an old laptop, it is best to check the version and architecture that is most suitable for your particular model.

The next dialog will motivate you to choose which media you want to use to create a Windows 10 installation media. In this case, since we are using a USB flash drive, you have to select the USB flash drive option and click Next.

The next dialog will highlight all the USB flash drives available for installation process. If there are more than one USB flash drive connected to your laptop, then you have to choose carefully the extra drive using the process. Once you select the appropriate drive, just click on Next.

If you have followed all the above steps carefully, then the device will now start making Windows 10 installation media in the assigned USB flash drive. The process takes a while, so you have to put some patience in the form of the work of media creation equipment.

Depending on the configuration of your PC, media creation tools typically take approximately one hour or one and a half hours to create installation media. As soon as the process is completed, you will be able to unplug the USB flash drive and use it to install Windows 10 on any other laptop by following the steps given below.
Install Windows 10 using the installation media

To install the English version of Windows 10 on your new laptop, you must first turn it off and close the boot in the BIOS. As soon as you press the power button, you need to tap the function key repeatedly to boot into the BIOS. The function key to boot in the BIOS varies depending on the manufacturer.

In our case, this is the F2 key, but you can be different. You have to go to your laptop manufacturers' website or to do a simple Google search to check which function keys your laptop will boot in the BIOS.

To start the Windows 10 installation process, follow the steps below:

1. Once you have successfully booted into the BIOS on your laptop, you will need to change the boot priority to the USB flash drive that you just created. Changing the boot priority will boot the laptop using a USB flash drive, which will start the Windows 10 installation process. Also, if your BIOS is in Chinese, which is highly likely, you have to use a translation app like Google Translate to navigate your way through the BIOS.

2. To change the boot priority, you have to navigate to the boot tab in the BIOS and change the 'boot device order'. Again, it is worth noting that different laptop manufacturers configure their BIOS separately, so your interface may not be like ours. However, the main process remains unchanged and you have to change the boot priority and choose the USB flash drive as the primary boot device with the Windows 10 installation media.

3. After successfully changing the boot priority, you have to save the changes and exit the BIOS. To do this, you will press F10 key. Again, the Save and Exit command on your special laptop can be different, but you can understand it easily.

4. If you follow all the above steps carefully, then your laptop will now boot into the Windows 10 setup and you will be able to select language, time and currency format, and keyboard or input method to install.

5. Once you select your preferences, the rest of the installation process is quite simple. Just click the Install Now button on the next window and the Windows 10 installation will begin.

6. Windows will now ask you for the product key. If you have a product key, you can enter it at this point and your Windows license will be activated, however, if you do not have a product key, you can choose that I do not have a product key and on the next Go Step, where you must accept Microsoft's software license terms and conditions.

7. Once you accept the terms and conditions, you will need to select Install Windows (advanced) in the next step: Custom to start installing Windows 10 on your system.

8. Now you have to select the drive partition in which you want to install Windows 10. If your laptop has SSD, then you will choose SSD to install Windows 10. However, if you have no laptop in your laptop SSD, you have to select the same drive in which Windows 10 had been installed prior to installation with the installation.

9. Now it will take some time to copy the Windows system from the installation media to the installation media in the installation wizard, after which it will boot directly into the Windows 10 installation process in English.

After the wizard has successfully copied and installed the required files, the Court will guide you through the rest setup. To activate your license for Windows 10, you must log in with your Microsoft ID. Make sure you log in with the same Microsoft ID that you previously used to log into the Chinese version of Windows 10, or your license will not be activated.
installation complete!

As you can see, the installation process is quite simple and does not require much effort. If you follow all the steps carefully, you will not have difficulty in installing the English version of Windows 10 on your new laptop.
